On this page you will find a mix of original studio recordings with bands and various home recordings from 1991 to the present day.

The six songs in the player below are original songs written with my band Interstate between 2005 and 2006.

Below are four songs I wrote and recorded in 1995 with talented keyboard player Mukhtar Sahota from one of the worlds most popular Bhangra bands The Sahotas. Our songs got chosen as Demo of the month in Brum Beat magazine and the song 'Mammal Or Camel' was featured in Total Guitar magazine.

Below are a few of the vast amount of songs written and recorded by 'Big Trouble' and 'Nervous Pills' between 1991 and 1997.
'Nervous Pills' had the same line as Big Trouble up but with Mike Tonge on drums.
The solo on 'Love Chains' is played by Neil Brown.

Session work for Bhangra band The Sahotas.
'Hass Hogia' was one of the best selling Bhangra singles in the UK and 'Out Of Reach' entered the British singles charts in 1995 on the EMI label.

Here is a selection of various original instrumental songs writen by myself and Jim Rudge and recorded around 1992/1993 with drummers Calvert Carville and Mick Tonge.

Original solo.
This solo is my own composition over a backing for 'Dirty Little Thing' by Velvet Revolver.

Improvising over a Backing Track (Ballad)
This was improvised with no overdubs.
I entered this in a competition on the Zakk Wylde message board and came second.

Solo for new 'Interstate' song called 'I Won't Let You'.
(May 06)

Solo for new 'Interstate' song called 'Nothing'.
(May 06)

Solo for new 'Interstate' song called 'Shame'.
(May 06)

Solo for 'Interstate' song called 'Save Me'.
(Sept' 05)

A quick improvised piece.
I recorded these licks to show the tone of my 'Jackal' guitar.

'Man In the Box' solo (Alice In Chains)
I used very little of the original solo for this recording. I wanted to keep to the style of the song but do my own thing.

'Like a Stone' solo (Audioslave)
Again, I wanted to do my own thing with this but used more of the original solo this time but with a different treatment.

Show Me How to Live solo (Audioslave)
The original solo for this song was just ONE note all the way through, so I composed my own.

An improvised solo
This solo, recorded in 1992, was meant to be just a guide track for the drums. Most of it was improvised and when I heard it played back I realised I probably couldn't play it any better so I kept it and added a couple of harmony overdubs.

An improvised 'Intro' solo
This solo, also recorded in 1992, was improvised. I then doubled the solo and used harmonies in certain sections.

'Forever Rhoads'
My own short acoustic composition.

A double tracked solo
My own solo recorded in '94.

Classical
Here is an example of my classical guitar playing that I wrote and recorded during '93.

A solo using the minor harmonic scale
This solo has a very 'Eastern' feel. I always try to use the most effective scale for whatever the song needs.

A Wah Wah solo
Recorded in the early 90's.

"Brothers"
A short instrumental recorded on a four track tape deck in the early 90's.
