~1989 - Original band 'URGENT'~

'Urgent' was the first proper band I joined way back in 1989. We played locally for about a year and produced a four track demo. One of our most memorable gigs was supporting a band of lunatics called 'Wrathchild' at the Wulfrun Hall in Wolverhampton.

As I had only just joined the band, the other guitarist Neil had written all his solos, so most of my playing is the rhythm on the right channel and I did the feedback 'swells' in 'Lonely Heart'.

Urgent at the YWCA in Stourbridge '89. My first real gig.


A year later, just before Simon left the band to tour with Neds Atomic Dustbin.
